The Niedźwiedzia Grota cave is located in the “Parkowe” natural reserve is the most frequently visited cave in the Janów municipality. Horizontal arrangement of the passages, ease of access and proximity to the Orle Gniazda tourist trail make this site particularly appealing.
It was described by Zygmunt Krasiński in 1857, and was one of the highlights of the park. During excavations numerous remains of Ice Age animals were. The cave was likely an encampment of prehistoric mammoth hunters.
